The hotel district
The name dates from the time when this garden district welcomed visitors who came to spend the winter in the sun. Today it holds many of the city's upmarket hotels, about three kilometres from the medina as the crow flies, a few minutes from the Menara and Bab Jdid.
Most clients we see in Hivernage are staying in a hotel, often for just a few nights. A home massage meets a specific need here: enjoying a treatment without booking the hotel spa days ahead, or at a time when it is closed.
How big hotels work
In a large hotel, reception wants to know who goes up to the rooms. Simply tell them a therapist is coming for you at a given time, with your name and room number. The therapist checks in at the desk, and either goes up or you come down to meet them.
Some hotels with their own spa restrict outside providers. If in doubt, ask reception before booking: it is simpler than finding out when the therapist arrives.
Residences and villas in the area
Behind the avenues, Hivernage also has gated residences and villas with gardens. Access is often controlled by a guard: give us the residence name and let the guard know, as you would for a hotel.
Villas in the area usually have enough room for a duo massage in the lounge or by the pool, in the shade, at the end of the day.

Frequently asked questions
My hotel has a spa. Can I still have you come?
The hotel sets the rule. Many allow guests to receive a provider in their room; others limit it. The safest option is to ask reception before booking.
Is the therapist discreet on arrival?
Yes: neutral clothing and equipment in a closed bag. They check in at the desk like any expected visitor.
Can the massage take place by the hotel pool?
Hotel common areas are not suitable: no privacy and no permission. In a private villa with a pool, however, it is possible in the shade at the end of the day.
Do you come late in the evening to Hivernage?
Yes, up to the 10pm slot. Do check that reception lets visitors up at that time.
